Large mountain range in northern Moravia. The highest elevations are covered with Matgrass clearings. The lower parts are afforested mostly with spruce. Sporadically, near-pristine forest stands can be found. Velká kotlina in the National Nature Reserve Praděd has a specific climate and is unique on the European scale. Also mountain peat-bogs are of interest.
